3D Printing Takes Off to Berlin! – Get 10% OFF!
Experts, scientists, service providers, manufacturers, traders, investors, and specialists from different sectors will gather at Estrel Berlin on March 3-4, 2015 as the leading B2B Conference for 3D Printing, Inside 3D Printing returns to Germany for its second time.
The conference is expected to grow dramatically this year, which is expanding from two to three tracks. After huge interested in the event in 2014, the exhibition area will double in size. A key focus of Inside 3D Printing Berlin will be the application of 3D printing in the automotive and aerospace sectors.
Conference Chair Dr. Eric Klemp, Business Director of the Direct Manufacturing Research Center (DMRC) at the University of Paderborn, designed a programme consisting of successful use-cases, industrial applications and research findings. Speakers include U.S. 3D printing expert Terry Wohlers, Dr. Claus Emmelmann, Head of the Institute of Laser and System Technologies at Hamburg University of Technology and CEO of Laser Zentrum Nord, as well as Prof. Dr.-Ing. Franz-Josef Villmer, Professor for Product Development and Engineering at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences. Companies include Airbus, BEGO, Boeing, Airbus Defence & Space, DMG, EDAG, EOS, Fraunhofer, HP, Materialise, Phoenix Contact, SLM and Stratasys.
See the full program of speakers here.
Dr. Eric Klemp is looking forward to the special use-cases from the aerospace sector:
"In aerospace errors are not an option. The aerospace industry shows how to make 3D printing projects fly, in the true sense of the word. In addition, the sector has special needs in light-weight design and is already a pioneer in additive mass production. All industries can benefit from this experience."
Another topic will be new technologies for additive manufacturing with different materials, such as metals, plastics and ceramic, as well as the topic of bionic design.

IP Seals for Robots
Freudenberg Sealing Technologies' IPRS (Ingress Protection Seals for Robots) provides reliable protection for robotic systems operating in harsh environments. Designed to prevent dust, moisture, chemicals, and wear from compromising performance, IPRS extends service life and reduces maintenance. The adaptive Z-shaped geometry ensures sealing integrity under continuous motion, making it ideal for high-speed automation and outdoor applications. Manufactured with high-performance elastomers such as Fluoroprene XP and EPDM, IPRS offers exceptional resistance to lubricants, cleaning agents, and extreme temperatures. This makes it the perfect solution for six-axis robots, SCARA robots, AMRs, AGVs, and cobots.
With its low-friction design and durable materials, IPRS enhances energy efficiency and operational reliability in industrial and autonomous robotics. Learn more about our IPRS Seals
